On leaving school, I joined Burges Salmon as a Junior Records Clerk with no previous legal experience but with an eagerness to learn all support aspects within the profession. Over the following years I worked hard to learn everything I could and was later rewarded by being promoted into the role of Deputy Supervisor. During my time at Burges Salmon I have seen the firm grow and develop dramatically and with the ever increasing size of the firm, career opportunities occur. I have progressed further within the Finance Department and now run the busy section known as Open File Management. Currently as a team of four, we deal with Conflict Checking and Opening of all client files and ensure all compliance issues including Money Laundering regulations are adhered to. Although I have been working at Burges Salmon for many years, it's still an exciting place to work, my role is constantly evolving so my job is always challenging.
Along with the other benefits it offers, the firm also has a social club which offers discounted social events and organises parties, which is a great perk. Plus I find that Burges Salmon's location in the centre of Bristol makes it easy for me to travel to work by bus.
