I was initially attracted to Burges Salmon by its approachable and friendly outlook. The structure of the recruitment process, while necessarily challenging, was set in a suitable framework which made me feel instantly at ease at the firm. The two week vacation placement confirmed that Burges Salmon offers an ideal balance of wide-ranging training opportunities, high quality work from a variety of clients and a supportive, yet trusting, approach to its trainees. Combined with the six seat rotation, this makes for a great environment in which to train.
Additionally, I was pulled to Bristol, which has all the attractions of a lively large city, with a refreshing sense of community and a range of exciting opportunities, wherever your interests lie.
The contact I had with Burges Salmon during my GDL and LPC was invaluable and meant that I started the training contract with a good level of familiarity with the firm and a grasp of its ethos. This, together with the structured support I receive as a trainee, are allowing me to settle in and make the most of all the opportunities available here.
