Corporate Social Responsibility
How we do business and relate to the world around us is important to everyone at Burges Salmon. As members of "Business in the Community" (BITC) we have adopted the BITC principles of business and have committed to making a contribution to the public realm each year of a sum related to our pre-tax profits.
Over the next three years our Corporate Social Responsibility priorities lie in two areas. Firstly, we will enhance our links to the community through a number of practical projects, typified by our support in cash and in kind for Withywood Community School throughout its transition to a City Academy. Secondly, we will implement new measures to monitor and improve our environmental performance, facilitated by our move to new purpose-built premises in 2010.
As accredited Investors in People, we have built sound recruitment and employment practices and seek to run an open and friendly office in which good people can develop and thrive. We value diversity and conduct a regular survey of our workforce.
