Philip specialises in contract law and his main area of work is in commercial projects. He is also involved regularly in strategic outsourcing arrangements for both national and multinational businesses.
His work spans a number of industries and sectors ranging from motor manufacturing to food production. Philip has a particular interest in logistics and supply chain solutions. He is head of Burges Salmon's Food Group and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics. He is also a member of Burges Salmon's Regulatory Practice Group, having responsibility for non-contentious product liability issues.
Recent examples of work include:
- advising Nissan Motors (UK) on the transport and distribution of automotive parts manufactured in Eastern Europe
- advising Reliance Security Group on a range of contracts with the Home Office and Police Authorities in the UK for the provision of support services
- advising the Wright Group on the supply of up to 150 rapid transit vehicles to the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada
- advising Constellation Brands on the distribution of wine and spirit products across the EEA
- advising The Crown Estate on a freight consolidation scheme for one of its major retail estates in Central London.
