Professional Partnerships

We act for both partnerships and partners in professional partnerships – whether structured as general partnerships or LLPs.

In many cases we are asked to help with formation of the partnership; changes to its constitution or conversion to LLPs. See Partnership Formation for more details.

We also deal with the internal disputes which can arise within professional partnerships. These are often extremely sensitive and difficult issues and given the depth and range of our experience we can give clear guidance and support to firms and individuals when dealing with structural changes, revisions to the partnership deed or members' agreement or when handling partnership exits.

We often act for other firms of lawyers and understand the issues of confidentiality when dealing with matters of this sort.

However we also act for a range of other professional service firms and individuals at those firms, dealing issues such as team moves, covenant, intellectual property (IP) and confidentiality protection.
