An estimated 200,000 kilometres of private sewers and private lateral drains will, from 1 October this year, transfer “overnight” from private ownership to that of statutory sewerage and water companies. This briefing is relevant to developers who should be aware of how these proposals affect them at different stages of the development process along with the changes on mandatory build standards (expected later in the year).
