Culling of the Agricultural Wages Board

On 22 July 2010, the Government announced its intention to abolish the Agricultural Wages Board and to take measures to bring agricultural workers within the scope of the National Minimum Wages Act.  The Government believes that these changes will allow the agricultural industry to adopt flexible and modern employment practices.

Construction Design and Management Regulations 2007 - Clients' Perspective

A significant change to construction health and safety legislation is due to come into force in April 2007 with the introduction of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 ("CDM2007")1. The current CDM Regulations will be replaced and merged with the Construction (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1996. There is little change to the content of the 1996 Regulations but there are significant changes to the CDM part.
