The Energy Act 2010 just made it to Royal Assent and the Statute Book before the General Election was called. The Conservative – Liberal Democrat Coalition Agreement re-states the new UK government's commitment for public sector investment in Carbon Capture and Storage 'CCS' technology for four coal-fired power stations. We have been named Infrastructure/Energy Team of the Year in The Lawyer Awards 2009. We're really pleased with this achievement, especially as this is the first year the award has been given. This recognises the hard work put in across the firm, as people in every area have helped over recent years.
