Lloyd joined Burges Salmon in 2008 after training with Morgan Cole in Cardiff, where he qualified in 2006. Lloyd works in the construction team and specialises in the following practice areas:

Lloyd has advised on a number of PFI/PPP and infrastructure projects across a range of sectors. He has experience in waste and renewables projects and advised funders, developers and contractors. Recent examples of work include:
- advising Costain on the Greater Manchester Waste PFI project on a design and construct contract which related to 44 facilities across the Greater Manchester area and advising in respect of four significant sub-contracts with Costain's technology providers
- advising Helius Energy plc on a number of renewable energy biomass power station projects
- advising Triodos Bank NV in connection with the construction and operation of an In Vessel Composting facility in Oxfordshire for the treatment of household garden and food waste
- advising New Earth in connection with a number of Energy from Waste projects
- acting on behalf of the Department of Health in providing Elective Services in conjunction with Independent Sector Treatment Centres
- advising Philips on a £100 million–plus PFI for the provision of a managed equipment service for imaging equipment and clinical information systems.
