Our history in the sector takes us back to the earliest renewable wind and biomass projects. With decades of experience, we are at the forefront of specialist legal teams in the sector.
Our work, advising alongside the new power-generation technologies such as solar, wave and tidal, geothermal, small hydro, anaerobic digestion, gasification, pyrolysis and hydrogen/fuel cells, has established us as one of a few genuine renewable energy practices nationally.
We advise a wide portfolio of clients across all major technologies, and with our long track record have accumulated a wealth of experience acting for landowners, developers, buyers/sellers, contractors, banks, off-takers, regulators and technology entrepreneurs.
The Food, Farming and Land sector has a major role to play in renewable energy. With Burges Salmon's established reputation in this sector we are ideally placed to advise businesses and major estates on investing in, developing and financing renewables. Working within the agriculture sector, we have been at the heart of developing fuel supply contracts for many renewables projects.
Our experience covers the full plant project/life cycle – from early optioneering, planning, licensing and financing, through construction and operation to the full range of disposal strategies.
