Licensing
Our Licensing team deals with the licensing requirements of the leisure industry and advises clients on all issues arising under the Licensing Act 2003 and other licensing regimes.
We have advised clients from the sport, hospitality and music industries including those as diverse as nightclubs, stadia, world heritage sites and military installations. We also act for private individuals.
Examples of areas we advise on include:
- premises licences – applications, reviews and objections
- personal licences
- street trading
- vehicle operating licenses
- noise control issues
- PRS/PPL licences
- music law
- regulatory issues affecting leisure premises
- outdoor events
The team understands the value of good working relationships between operators, statutory authorities and the general public. Where it is possible to obtain a client's desired outcome without straining these relationships we endeavour to do this. We believe this pragmatic and results-driven approach has stood us in good stead when working with the authorities on large-scale outdoor events and other Safety Advisory Groups.
