We've won the Best Recruiter award, again.

13 June 2008

For the third year running Burges Salmon LLP has been named Best Recruiter (national/large regional law firm) at the LawCareers.Net Training & Recruitment Awards.

The Training and Recruitment Awards, which are in their fifth year, are based on the views of over 3,000 trainees and newly qualified solicitors who each completed an on-line survey expressing their own experiences. Winning this prestigious award is therefore a significant endorsement of our recruitment practices.

This award is a reflection of our single-minded focus on quality and also our success in continuing to grow our practice over the past year. A cornerstone of our approach to growth is investing in people. We do this is by identifying, recruiting and nurturing those aspiring to excel in the law. The Chambers Student Guide comments: "Top training in Bristol with all the lifestyle benefits that choice implies. For breadth, depth and quality of experience you'd struggle to do better than Burges Salmon".

As one recent trainee said:

"I found the recruitment process a lot less intimidating than my experiences at other firms...and the friendliness and approachability of the recruitment staff is reflected throughout the firm".

Burges Salmon triumphed against strong competition from law firms Addleshaw Goddard, Beachcroft, Morgan Cole, Osborne Clarke, Pannone and Wragge and Co.

Katy Edge, Recruitment Manager, said, "Trainee solicitors are the future of the firm and we are committed to recruiting the very best. We are very fortunate that Burges Salmon is a positive, friendly place to work and our employees make sure that candidates feel like part of the team straight away. This personal approach is something we pride ourselves on and the award is a fantastic recognition of our efforts".
