Sandra Forbes joined Burges Salmon in 1991 having trained in London and worked with a City of London firm. She is Head of the Corporate and Financial Institutions Department which the Banking Group belongs to and she has substantial experience of advising financial institutions and borrowers in relation to corporate lending transactions generally both on a syndicated and bilateral basis. In particular, Sandra specialises in corporate banking, structured finance, project finance, acquisition finance and asset finance (particularly in the transport sector).

Recent work includes:

advising Wolseley on €2.8 billion syndicated revolving credit loan facilities
advising Mizuho International plc on the development of a new loan product in the agricultural sector, lending on the security of Single Farm Payments from the Rural Payments Agency and National Assembly for Wales, including the production of standard loan and security documentation
acting for Wolseley in relation to its financing of the acquisition of the DT Group, including the drafting and negotiation of €1.5 billion syndicated facilities
advising First Great Western on rolling stock leasing for its successful tender for the Greater Western and Thameslink/Great Northern franchises
advising Coca-Cola HBC on the UK listing of a €2 billion Medium Term Note programme
acting for Nationwide in the provision of £102.22 million syndicated property investment facilities to the Business Environment Group
advising HSBC and the Royal Bank of Scotland on a number of acquisition finance transactions
