Andrij's area of practice is EC and UK Competition Law; he has been involved in a significant number of dawn raids and investigations under the UK Competition Act 1998, merger cases in the UK and the EU and numerous competition investigations by the UK Competition Commission acting for clients in the food, rail, chemical, construction and retail industries.

Recent cases include:

advising Argos Limited in relation to the OFT's investigation into alleged price fixing, Argos' subsequent appeal of the OFT's decision to the Competition Appeal Tribunal and its appeal to the Court of Appeal (ongoing)
successfully defending a company in the construction products sector against allegations of price fixing and market sharing
applying for leniency under the Competition Act 1998 for a company accused of involvement in cartel activity
applying to the OFT for interim measures against a party alleged to be abusing its dominant position
advising FirstGroup in relation to the referral of its proposed acquisition of the ScotRail and Inter City East Coast franchises to the Competition Commission
advising a retailer involved in the Competition Commission inquiry into Extended Warranties for domestic electrical goods and the inquiry into Store Cards
dealing with many cases involving anti-competitive agreements or practices including price fixing, market sharing, predatory behaviour, refusal to supply, discriminatory conduct and discount/rebate schemes
advising on competition audits and compliance procedures in view of the Competition Act 1998 and the Enterprise Act 2002
currently advising companies involved in OFT investigations into alleged cartel behaviour in several industry sectors and dealing with a complaint to the OFT in the freight sector
