Our Environment and Health & Safety Teams are highly rated and recognised nationally.

The teams form part of the firm's cross-disciplinary Regulatory practice. They work and train closely together. Some projects or cases involve discrete environmental or H&S issues and those are handled within the respective team.
However the synergies between the different strands of EHS practice continue to increase and much of our EHS work is now handled by a combined team. Joint work for COMAH industries (including nuclear, petrochemicals and chemicals/process technologies) is a particular theme.
We understand intimately the approach to clients to EHS/SHEQ functions and also the framework of risk and governance of which they form a key part.
Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession 2008 describes the Environment Team as "terrific and versatile" and confirms its "Pre-eminent nuclear and renewables practice rated highly on a regional and UK level".
Its comments on the Health and Safety Team include "A potent force … at the cutting edge of the issues" and "the direct and forthright team … is accustomed to working with clients immediately after a major incident offering the best advice to commercial clients in unexpected health and safety difficulties".
